I’ve never thought of myself as an artist. I’ve always doodled, but I never thought the things I drew looked “right.” I’ve always had an obsession with colors and the way they go together, and only relatively recently in my life have I gotten the freedom to play with those relationships.

As my goofy dad likes to say, I am a “life-long learner,” which is really just spin for having a ton of hobbies that I don’t have enough time for. On occasion, I like to cook, garden, knit, sew, quilt, bake, paint, scrapbook, make jewelry, build things, write to my congressmen and women, play guitar and trombone, work on writing children’s novels and endlessly devour trashy and high-class magazines.
